About the festival
Craft, quilts, and community
The Missouri Quilt Festival & Craft Show is an annual event of the association. Quiltmakers, vendors, and visitors come together for an afternoon of handcrafted work, displays, and fellowship.
The festival has been held at the Platte Co. Fair Grounds, and it remains one of the ways our churches welcome people from across the region who might not otherwise visit our buildings.

The Missouri Quilt Festival & Craft Show is a yearly gathering hosted by the St Joseph Baptist Association, welcoming quilters, crafters, and visitors from our churches and the surrounding community. Held at the Platte County Fair Grounds, the festival brings people together around handcrafted work, vendor displays, and the simple pleasure of an afternoon spent among handmade goods. It has become a tradition that reflects the spirit of our association, where fellowship and creativity sit side by side.
Church families across the region contribute quilts, crafts, and baked goods to the festival, and many volunteers help set up, staff, and tear down the displays each year. Local vendors offer their own handcrafted pieces, giving visitors a chance to browse, to learn from the makers, and to connect with neighbors outside the church setting. The emphasis throughout is on welcoming participation, whether a person exhibits, sells, attends, or simply walks the grounds looking at the work.
The quilt festival is one of several ways the association builds strong Great Commission churches, serving as a bridge between the life of our congregations and the wider community. Throughout the year, the association supports churches with summer camp, ministry projects, leadership resources, and other shared efforts. Events such as the festival, along with our affiliated church resources, calendars, and support links, reflect a cooperative spirit of service that extends far beyond any single congregation or single weekend.
